Enbridge's interests include almost 1,000 megawatts (MW) of renewable and alternative energy capacity. The total capacity of the projects in which we're interested is 1,365MW.

We take great pride in meeting our primary responsibility of safely and reliably delivering oil and natural gas to people across North America. The products we deliver are used to heat homes, power transportation systems and provide fuel and feedstock for industries. At the same time, we recognize that our relationship with hydrocarbons comes with great responsibility. As society looks to greater use of green energy over the long term, we must lead the way now in supporting renewable energy sources—naturally occurring sources that are continually replenished.  

Our portfolio of renewable energy projects is diversified and growing. So far, we’ve invested in:

• ten wind farms (1,169 MW capacity)
• four solar energy operations (150 MW capacity)
• a geothermal project (23 MW capacity)

Together our renewable projects represent 1,365 MW of green power capacity - enough power to supply about 374,200 homes. Renewable energy, together with our investments in alternative energy technologies, make up our green energy portfolio.
