Natural Gas Storage
Tecumseh
Enbridge Gas Distribution's regulated storage operation began in 1964 and has become one of the largest storage facilities in Canada with a capacity of approximately 100 billion cubic feet (Bcf). The company's storage facilities are primarily located in south-western Ontario, near the Dawn hub.
In late 2006, the Ontario Energy Board deregulated storage, creating a competitive market for all new storage developments. Enbridge entered the competitive storage market in 2008 and currently provides 7.5 Bcf of storage to wholesale market participants, with plans for a major expansion in 2013.
