Enbridge's Ethics and Conduct Hotline provides employees with an anonymous channel for asking questions or expressing concerns about internal accounting and auditing and other matters.
Employees can access the Hotline in three different ways:
- A toll-free telephone number, available at all times and handled by an independent outside service provider (1-866–571-4989).
- An e-mail address to which complaints may be forwarded and which is handled by an independent service provider.
- Interoffice mail (or regular mail or other means of delivery) addressed to the company’s headquarters.
Non-employees (such as consultants, temporary employees, customers or vendors) may submit complaints by mail (or other means of delivery) to the Vice-President & Chief Compliance Officer or marked "Private and Strictly Confidential – Attention: Chair of the Audit, Finance & Risk Committee of Enbridge Inc." Envelopes so marked shall be forwarded unopened to the Committee Chair.
All submissions to Enbridge's Ethics and Conduct Hotline can be made anonymously. Calls and messages are not traced and the information provided is treated confidentially, within the bounds of the law. Enbridge has a practice of non-retaliation and non-discrimination against any person who contacts the Ethics and Conduct Hotline in good faith.
The Ethics and Conduct Hotline is intended to complement existing internal communication channels. It is not intended to replace typical means of addressing problems, such as dealing directly with management. The Ethics and Conduct Hotline is available to anyone who believes the typical means for bringing complaints or other issues to light have been exhausted, or who feels uncomfortable about addressing an issue in any other way.
