The pipeline route was chosen to minimize impact on known environmentally sensitive areas, parks, wildlife habitat, Aboriginal interests, residential communities, water bodies, existing and future industrial developments and areas where construction would be difficult. The overall route will follow existing pipeline rights-of-way and utility corridors as much as possible within the project economics and scope.
