Applying for a Job

Enbridge uses PeopleSoft for Applicant Tracking. Our PeopleSoft system underwent an upgrade on September 04, 2012. If you previously saved the Enbridge web address URL to your favorites (prior to September 04, 2012) you will need to update that link with the current link to the Enbridge career website.

How do I apply for a position at Enbridge?
  1. Search for a position that meets your qualifications. To help you with your search, you may use the Search Jobs function, or you may also search by Category, Location or Job Groups.
  2. Once you find a job opening of interest, click on the link to view the job details.
  3. To apply for the job opening, select the “Apply Now” button.
    Note: You can also choose to “email a friend” or “save job” from this page.
  4. If this is your first visit to our website, register to obtain website access (i.e. a login ID and password).
    Note:  Your login ID and password will be required for future visits.
  5. Apply for positions by uploading your resume- see "How do I upload my resume" below.
  6. On your initial visit, please also complete the "My Profile" information once you have uploaded your resume.
  7. Next, scroll down on the "Complete Application" page and enter your work preferences, education, experience, and referral information. Please enter as much information as possible and then click save.
  8. Choose "Submit" to complete the application process.
How do I upload my resume?
  1. You may elect to use any one of the three options below to upload your resume:
    • Upload a new resume- Click on this option, then click Continue; browse to the location/path where your resume resides, select the document you wish to attach, then click Upload.

      Note:  You may only submit one document; therefore, if you wish to include a cover letter, it must be contained in the same document as the resume you upload.

       

      The following file types are accepted by this site:  pdf, doc, docx, txt, rtf, jpg, png, tif, bmp.  Your document name must be less than 30 characters.

    • Copy and paste resume text- Click on this option, then click Continue and copy your cover letter and/or resume and paste it into the box provided.

      Note: You may lose your formatting in the pasting process and the text box does not provide formatting options.
    • Apply without using a resume- Click on this option, then click Continue.  Scroll down on the next screen and complete the questions.
  2. After you have uploaded your resume, you always need to click on "Submit" to complete the application process.  Once you have done this, your application "Status" will change to "Applied" and you will receive an immediate confirmation e-mail acknowledging that your application has been received. Also, once you have uploaded your resume, it will be available to you on the site to apply for different jobs.
Do I have to fill out the fields if the information if it is included on my resume?

Yes, complete the information template even if most of the data is on your resume as this ensures your data is accessible for Enbridge recruiter searches.

Can I upload more than one file?

No, only one file may be uploaded for each job posting.  If you wish to attach a cover letter with your application, please include it as the first page of your resume. 

Can I update or edit my resume at any time after applying for a job?

Your resume can be updated or edited up to the point you click the “Submit” button .  Once you click Submit, you cannot update or edit your resume.  Should you wish to update your resume after clicking Submit, you will need to create a new application which will appear as a duplicate submission.

Can I preview my application before submitting it?

Yes.  It is a good idea to review your application document prior to uploading it, however, the attachment can also be viewed once it is uploaded.

Can I submit a resume without applying for a specific position?

No, you must apply for an open position. There is no opportunity to submit your resume without applying to a specific job opening.    

Does Enbridge have a Career Alert option?

Yes. You can setup your profile to send notifications of job openings that meet your search criteria. This can be done by following these steps:

  1. Select the “Job Search”
  2. Enter your search criteria
  3. Select the ‘Save Search’ button

The system will prompt you to label your search and identify the email address where notifications can be sent. Check ‘use job agent’ to ensure you receive notifications of jobs that match your search criteria.

What happens to my information after I've submitted it?
Once you have submitted your application for a job opening, your resume or application is attached to the job opening as an applicant. Each job opening has a closing date. When a posting closes, HR recruiters review the applications received and begin screening processes.
How long does the selection process normally take?

The length of the selection process varies depending on the type of position being recruited, number of applications, availability of the hiring manager and HR supporting resources. Generally, once a job posting closes, applications are reviewed by Enbridge recruiters and Hiring Managers for candidate suitability.  Only applicants selected for an interview are contacted.   The number of candidates selected for interview varies by position.

What if I have forgotten my password or user name?

Click on the "Login Help" link in the login box on the top right-hand side of the Careers page.  You will be prompted to enter either your user name or the e-mail address you used to set up the account.

What if I did not receive a confirmation e-mail after submitting an application for a job?

After submitting your application for a job, you should receive an e-mail confirmation within 24 hours.  If after 24 hours you have not received an e-mail confirmation:

  • Check that you submitted the application with the correct e-mail address by logging back into our Career Opportunities page and confirming the e-mail address listed in your profile
  • Check that the e-mail address was not misspelled
  • Check your junk or spam e-mail folders in case the message was misdirected there
  • Please contact our support line at the numbers indicated above.
My computer browser (internet explorer) freezes or keeps on processing when I click on a job posting, “I agree” checkbox or “Register” button.

This can be caused by a browser compatibility problem and can be resolved by enabling the browser’s compatibility view.
