At Enbridge, we are committed to excellence in implementing Environment, Health and Safety standards that not only comply with legislated requirements but also respond to the social, economic and environmental expectations of our communities, customers, shareholders, government and the public.

It is an integral part of all planning and operations initiatives corporately and through business units and subsidiaries such as Enbridge Pipelines, Enbridge Gas Distribution and Enbridge Energy Partners.

We strive to create a workplace where each of our employees has the opportunity to grow and achieve, and to contribute to the well-being of communities through volunteerism. Creating a safe workplace for every Enbridge employee, contractor and visitor is more than just the right thing to do - it's critical to our business success.

We believe that prevention of accidents and injuries and protection of the environment benefits everyone and delivers increased value to our stakeholders.

Our objectives and targets for environmental, health and safety performance are established, implemented and measured and were published for three years in the Enbridge EH&S Annual Report. In 2004 we incorporated that information into our first Corporate Social Responsibility Annual Report.
