Enbridge recognized as environmental leader

Enbridge Gas Distribution was noticed for its outstanding environmental contribution at the recent annual Business Excellence Award (BEA) Galas held in Toronto.

The Company won the BEA award in the Environmentally Friendly category at the Scarborough Chamber of Commerce BEA and then again, one week later, at the North York Chamber of Commerce BEA.

“These awards recognize the Company’s environmental leadership,” says Chris Gates, Manager, Sustainable Energy, Enbridge Gas Distribution. “We continue to focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship.”

Hosted by the Toronto Board of Trade, the Galas celebrated outstanding businesses and community organizations in Scarborough and North York who demonstrate growth, leadership, innovation, environmental and community commitment and overall excellence.

Enbridge Gas Distribution won the award based on a combination of its demand side management (DSM) programs, product innovation & technology, customer service, growth, leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility, employee relations, corporate leadership awards and community involvement.
