Leadership Luncheon Series expands to Ottawa
Enbridge kicked-off the Ottawa segment of its Leadership Luncheon Series on Oct. 17 in partnership with the Famous 5 Foundation. The Enbridge Leadership Luncheon Series profiles extraordinarily successful women who speak candidly about their careers, and about the passion for the vision that drives them.
“Our sponsorship of the Enbridge Leadership Luncheon Series and our partnership with the Famous 5 Foundation is reflective of our ongoing support and promotion of women’s leadership initiatives across the country,” said Alison Love, Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Enbridge.
The Famous 5 Foundation inspires and educates Canadians to become nation builders in the legacy of the Famous 5. The Foundation applauds and supports women’s leadership, and inspires others ‘to be equal to the high and splendid braveries’ of public service.
Enbridge has an ongoing commitment to advance, recognize and develop leadership capabilities within women. Women @ Enbridge is an internal community focusing on leadership development for women in leadership roles and emerging leaders. The community is lead by a formal steering committee that facilitates active planning for and governance of this talent management initiative within Enbridge.
In addition to promoting women’s leadership initiatives such as the Women’s Leadership Forum and the Women’s Executive Network Breakfast Series, Enbridge has been a proud supporter of the Famous 5 Foundation in Calgary for many years and a title partner of the Luncheon Series there. In addition to Ottawa the Luncheon Series will be broadening to include Edmonton and Fort McMurray, Alberta.
“I’m confident that the Famous 5 would be proud as we continue the legacy of their vision to enable and empower women to find meaningful ways to contribute to their generation and those to follow,” said Ms. Love.
