Enbridge energizes West Park Healthcare Centre with $250,000 investment

A long‐standing corporate partner of the West Park Healthcare Centre, Enbridge recently donated $250,000 to the Centre’s Electronic Health Record initiative. The commitment will advance excellence in healthcare through Information Management by improving safety for patients and helping drive cost savings and increased efficiencies across Ontario’s healthcare system.

West Park’s multi‐year, multi‐million dollar investment to develop and implement its Electronic Health Record projects demonstrates the Centre’s commitment to providing the safest care through improved time to treatment and improved access to vital patient information such as medication records.

Since 1981, Enbridge and its employees have contributed in excess of $1 million to West Park’s programs, services and capital projects, including the construction of the Long‐term Care Centre.

New Solar Water Heating program reduces energy costs and environmental impact

Enbridge Gas Distribution has partnered with Bullfrog Energy, EnerWorks and the Government of Canada to launch a new solar water heating program that will help homeowners reduce energy costs and their impact on the environment.

The program provides qualifying homeowners substantial savings — up to 50 per cent — on the purchase and installation of their own solar water heating systems. The savings are made possible through the Government of Canada’s ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat program and volume discounts from EnerWorks. Homeowners may also qualify for further rebates and credits through the ecoENERGY Retrofit‐Homes program, provincial rebates and the new Home Renovation Tax Credit.

“Enbridge Gas Distribution is a leader in energy efficiency and continues to advance sustainable energy solutions that will lead us towards a clean energy economy,” said Arunas Pleckaitis, Vice President, Enbridge Gas Distribution. “Often our approach is to partner with other organizations, such as Bullfrog and EnerWorks, that bring a special competency or unique solution to the specific energy challenge we are facing. Together with Enbridge’s market delivery capabilities, we are able to provide an integrated high‐value solution that customers will find attractive.”

More information about installation steps and pricing is available at www.bullfrogpower.com/solar or by calling 1‐866‐775‐8808.

Enbridge supports development of new plays at Theatre Calgary

Audience members recently had the chance to help shape new plays through FUSE 09, the Enbridge New Play Development Program. The program gave Theatre Calgary the opportunity to test new plays that have the potential to be produced as full scale productions for audiences in Calgary and throughout the world.

When audiences attend a FUSE they play a key role in its development process because, at each presentation, they have the opportunity to provide feedback and have an effect on the creative direction of the new work.

Some of this year’s plays included A Singular Man, a modern adaptation of Moliere’s classic French comedy The Misanthrope by Sharon Cavanagh and Lost — A Memoir, one‐woman portrayal of love, loss and hope, based on Calgary author Cathy Ostlere’s bestselling memoir.
