Environmental Management

Enbridge will gather information and conduct the field studies necessary to obtain environmental information about the lands where the pipeline and associated facilities will be constructed. Enbridge Athabasca will also assess the potential environmental impacts of the proposed pipeline, and develop measures to mitigate them. This information will be used in the preparation of a conservation and reclamation plan and environmental field reports in support of Alberta Environment and Alberta Sustainable Resource Development regulatory applications.

During the course of construction, Enbridge Athabasca will adhere to its environmental standards and procedures as well as regulatory commitments and conditions and will consult with environmental stakeholders as required.
