The Clements family has farmed this land since 1883. And it’s fairly clear that a sixth generation will be taking over the tractor’s controls before too long.
Between growing grain crops, raising two young kids, and Joanne’s work off the farm as a pharmacist, there’s never a dull moment at Eastview Farms. And the Clements homestead remains a place of wonder for its youngest generation.
“As a kid, we’d be up and off for miles and hours,” says Ryley. “We’d just go touring around, exploring. I love being here with my kids and watching them run around.”
Ryley is as passionate about farming as the future Clements generations. So, it seems, is generation No. 6. “Jase hauls some garbage with his tractor when we go for walks,” smiles Joanne.
