Line 3 Replacement Program (Canada)

Return to project

Community Outreach

The multibillion-dollar Line 3 Replacement Program is the largest project in Enbridge history. The new Line 3 will comprise the newest and most advanced pipeline technology—and provide much needed incremental capacity to support Canadian crude oil production growth, and U.S. and Canadian refinery demand..

Replacing Line 3 is in the public interest because it reduces both the frequency and the magnitude of ongoing maintenance activities that would otherwise occur in order to maintain the safe operation of Line 3. This means significant benefits to landowners, local communities, and the environment.

Replacing Line 3 is also in the public interest because it would better serve the current and future petroleum requirements of the general public, who are dependent on refineries to meet their refined petroleum product needs.

Listening to you, understanding your views, and working to address your concerns are important to Enbridge. To date, we've participated in more than 50,000 engagement activitiesincluding community meetings, phone calls, Coffee Talks, e-mails, Open Houses and other consultation activities—regarding the L3RP.

Our team will continue to keep you informed with program update newsletters and future engagement activities.

We encourage you to ask questions, share your concerns, and talk about your interests related to the L3RP.

Door-to-Door Visits and Phone Conversations

We continue to contact landowners on the Line 3 right-of-way to arrange one-on-one meetings. If you are not a landowner, and would like to arrange a meeting with a member of our team, call us at 1-888-967-3899.

Community Presentations and Open Houses

Once project activity gets underway, benefits will begin to flow to local communities. As part of our commitment to keeping communities informed, Enbridge is pleased to host Construction Open Houses for the business community at the following locations along the project right-of-way:

We encourage all local business from around the area to stop in and learn more about the project work taking place this summer. Visit with Enbridge representatives and learn how your business may be able to benefit from the upcoming construction activity.

We continue to talk with local elected council and community organizations about L3RP activities in their areas. If you are part of a group that would like to see a presentation regarding the L3RP, call us at 1-888-967-3899.
