Enbridge has strong ties to the communities that have been of impacted by the wildfires, and is pleased to announce that we have committed $25,000 to communities in the region for the firefighting effort and an additional $15,000 to the Canadian Red Cross BC Fires Appeal, which is providing assistance to the provincial government and local authorities helping those affected by the fires.

The Canadian Red Cross BC Fires Appeal has set up a fundraising process to assist those impacted by the fire. Financial donations can be made online or by calling 1-800-418-1111.

Information Update: July 16, 2017

Wildfires continue to have serious impacts in the interior British Columbia region.

We are all concerned about our colleagues, friends and neighbors in the area. Our number one priority is the safety of our people in the area—they are all safe and accounted for. Due to the presence of the wildfires, we shut down a compressor station and cancelled some maintenance work on Saturday, July 8 in the interior of the province.

Safety remains at the forefront of everything we do. We continue to operate our natural gas pipeline system and are working diligently on the return-to-work plans for both our compressor station and planned maintenance work, but have no firm timelines at the moment. Nothing will resume until it is safe to do so.

We continue to work closely with provincial and local governments to monitor and respond to the situation.

Enbridge has strong ties to the community throughout the affected areas of British Columbia, which are home to many of our team members and their families. We are currently working on a community support and outreach plan to provide assistance to those in need.

The wildfires in British Columbia are a serious situation and Enbridge has enacted emergency response plans to protect our workers and safeguard our facilities. We are cooperating with the province and participating in its Emergency Response Center operations.

The safety of our staff, nearby residents and the protection of the environment remain our top concern. We can tell you that all of our workers are safe and accounted for. Due to the presence of the wildfires, we have shut down a compressor station and some maintenance work in the impacted area. We are currently assessing commercial impacts and are working with our customers to mitigate those impacts.
