Senior Vice President, Power Commercial and Strategy

Dean was appointed SVP, Power Commercial and Strategy on Oct. 1, 2023. Dean oversees all onshore commercial and customer matters in Enbridge’s Power business unit, including asset management, new asset integration and origination, and is accountable for development of behind-the-meter and front-of-meter renewable power self-supply for Enbridge’s Liquids Pipelines business unit.

Prior to this appointment, Dean served as Senior Vice President, Operations and Engineering, Liquids Pipelines. Dean has nearly 30 years of energy industry experience. Prior to joining Enbridge in 2019, he was with a major North American pipeline company for 22 years. He began his career with a Canadian oil and gas producer.

Dean’s work experience spans electric power generation, natural gas and crude oil pipelines, with functional depth early in his career in various commercial capacities, including trading, business development, commercial asset management and acquisitions. Dean built his leadership experience with roles in electric power generation, US natural gas transmission, major pipeline projects linked to LNG in British Columbia and Alaska, corporate business transformation and accountability for P&L and growth for a significant liquids pipelines system.

Dean has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (inactive).
