Dean C. Patry

Senior Vice President and Corporate Development Officer

Dean is Senior Vice President & Corporate Development Officer for Enbridge, overseeing Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Allocation and Investment Review.

Dean has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry spanning electric power generation, natural gas and crude oil pipelines.  He has a broad commercial background in trading, business development, commercial asset management and acquisitions, along with leadership experience in asset operations, major projects and business transformation initiatives.

Dean joined Enbridge in 2019 as SVP of Operations for Liquids Pipelines. Prior to taking the role of Corporate Development Officer, Dean was SVP, Power Commercial and Strategy, where he was accountable for commercial management of Enbridge’s North American operating assets, customer origination for new assets and business development in Canada.

Before joining Enbridge, Dean spent 22 years with a leading North American pipeline company, following the start of his career with a Canadian oil and gas producer.

Dean holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (inactive).

Outside of professional life, Dean enjoys his work supporting the United Way of Calgary and spending time with Paula and their three sons.
