Safe Communities

At Enbridge, nothing is more important than safety—it’s at the heart of everything we do. For us, it’s about more than our operational safety, it’s also about the safety of the communities where we live and work.

Enbridge supports programs and initiatives that strengthen community safety and resilience. Our focus is on:

  • Emergency response readiness: Supporting emergency response organizations in communities near our operations through the Safe Community First Responder Program. This includes essential equipment, professional training, and critical services such as firehoses, "jaws-of-life" hydraulic extrication tools, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), emergency vehicles, and air ambulance services.
  • Safety planning and education: Initiatives that support community safety planning, preparedness, and awareness, including crime prevention programs, youth safety camps, AEDs in public spaces, and community safety education.
  • Disaster and crisis relief: Supporting communities impacted by natural disasters and crises through emergency relief, recovery efforts and longer-term resilience.
