Strengthening Board diversity

Enbridge is committed to leadership in corporate governance and recognizes the importance of independent directors with a range of diverse perspectives, expertise and experience.

We will continue efforts to strengthen diversity on our company's board of directors.

  • Achieve representation on the Board of 40% women and 20% Racial and Ethnic groups by 2025

ESG reporting

We will sustain our leadership and track record of transparency in the area of ESG reporting.

  • Report in alignment with leading sustainability disclosure frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and evolve with best practice

Enbridge has a track record of robust reporting—we've published an annual Sustainability Report for nearly 20 years, issued the first and only focused report on Indigenous relationships, and released a standalone report on climate in 2019, which was aligned to the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures.

Our corporate disclosure and sustainability reporting demonstrate our commitment to transparency and to holding ourselves to account on our ESG performance.

Governance Targets

Robust cybersecurity strategy

We recognize that cyberattacks are a top risk and have continued to increase in sophistication and frequency over the years. As an operator of critical energy infrastructure, we conduct continuous assessments of our cybersecurity standards, perform regular tests of our ability to respond and recover, and monitor for potential threats. To further mitigate threats we collaborate with governments, regulatory agencies and take part in external events to learn and share. At all levels of our company, we have robust systems, policies and processes in place to protect our customers’ and stakeholders’ privacy and data.

We will enhance cyber defense programs to protect the confidentiality, integrity, availability and reliability of information and services.

  • Ensure employee awareness and understanding of security responsibilities: 100% completion of annual certification and training.
  • Achieve internal targets for employee awareness and their role in cyber defense.

Continue to regularly assess cybersecurity maturity and defense capabilities both through internal audits as well as independent third-party engagements including, but not limited to, an annual maturity assessment against the NIST cybersecurity framework.
