Pipeline safety is no accident

Understanding how to respond to a pipeline emergency can be critical to your safety.

If you’re visiting this page, one of Enbridge’s pipelines throughout North America may run near your home or community. We make every effort to operate our lines safely, with safety at the foundation of everything that we do.

Pipeline accidents are rare; however, planning for emergencies and the unexpected is one of the best ways that we can help protect ourselves and our communities. When planning for a pipeline emergency, there are specific actions you can take to make sure you and others are prepared:

Know what to look for
Familiarize yourself with the signs of a pipeline emergency
Know what to do
Understand the do’s and don’ts of reacting in a pipeline emergency
Know who to call
Call 9-1-1 and the pipeline operator. Identify the Enbridge emergency number for your area and save it in a safe location for future reference.
