Enbridge supports inaugural drive-through light show

At a time most needed, the bright lights and uplifting sounds of the season are calling.

Cruise down Santa’s Way, drop off letters for the North Pole and enjoy some snacks at the Rapid River Business Association’s Light up the Park event. The drive-through event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 19, at Masonville Park Pavilion, in Delta County, MI.

The event is free, thanks in part to Enbridge’s community investment support. It will be powered through generators, extension cords and volunteer resources donated by Enbridge.

Brian VanOss, Enbridge Technical Supervisor, led the team of Enbridge volunteers who helped transform the park for the illuminating event. “We support our communities through monetary investments, but we also believe strongly in donating our time,” said VanOss. “We are happy to be able to assist our community with this event, particularly when many people seem to need a little holiday cheer.”

Reflective of its commitment to community, Enbridge partners with hundreds of not-for-profit organizations, schools and business organizations throughout its operating area.

“We are proud of our partnerships within the community,” said Emma Cook, Enbridge Community Engagement Advisor. “They are important to supporting services, programs and initiatives that help build strong, healthy communities. Our hope is that Light up the Park captures a holiday spirit that will create another positive memorable experience for the community.”
