What is the new intrinsically safe standard requirement that Enbridge now wants for all equipment in pipelines?

Our Answer

Murray asked this question on May 30, 2018.

Hi Murray,

Our equipment is designed to meet regulations and is based on established engineering practices. For example, in Canada, we would following CSA (Canadian Standards Association) requirements, as bound by regulation and leverage engineering practices such as those outlined in IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) publications.
