Offshore pipelines
Enbridge is the largest natural gas transporter in the Gulf of Mexico, moving about 60% of total offshore production and delivering about 1 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of gas. We also move a similar share of deepwater natural gas production in the Gulf.
Enbridge’s offshore pipelines consist of 12 active natural gas gathering and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-regulated transmission pipelines, and five active oil pipelines, that collectively span more than 1,200 miles and traverse four major corridors in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
These pipelines extend from deepwater developments nearly 200 miles from shore to Gulf Coast delivery points in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Enbridge’s offshore natural gas assets include the Cleopatra, Destin, Garden Banks, Manta Ray, Mississippi Canyon, Nautilus, Okeanos, Vito Gas and Walker Ridge systems, and individual laterals to the Magnolia, Neptune and Shenzi developments.
Our offshore crude oil assets include the Big Foot, Heidelberg, Neptune, Stampede and Vito Oil pipelines, all of which connect to existing Gulf Coast deepwater developments.
