Minnesota aquifer work

During pipeline construction, an aquifer was impacted at three locations along the Line 3 Replacement route resulting in groundwater flows to the surface. For each of these locations, Enbridge developed a corrective action plan to stop groundwater flows. The corrective action plans required significant planning and coordination, review from multiple regulatory agencies and were implemented immediately upon approvals.

Corrective actions were completed at Clearbrook in January 2022 and at MP 1102 as of April 2022. Initial work was completed at LaSalle in November 2021. Enbridge identified additional flows at this site and completed supplemental work in March of 2023.

Enbridge takes protecting the environment seriously, and we are dedicated to resolving these matters quickly and thoroughly as we continue to work with the regulatory agencies on the ongoing restoration and monitoring.
