Photograph Type:

Photographs must be taken in the provinces or states crossed by Enbridge’s existing and/or currently approved assets.
Photograph prints must be horizontally oriented (i.e., landscape).
Photographs cannot include images of people.
Photographs can be of wildlife but not household pets.
Photographs can be of a variety of seasons (fall, winter, spring, summer).
Photographs can be abstract (e.g., a photo of a bunch of fall leaves).
Photographs must be in colour. Black and white photographs are not eligible.

Photograph Technical Format:

Photographs must be high-resolution digital files. Please note that high-resolution digital files will likely be around 2MB - 10MB or 4 MP – 8 MP in size. Please see below for instructions on how to modify your camera’s image size to enable high-resolution photos.
Photographs must be saved in a jpeg file format.
Photographs must be named using the following naming protocol:
last name_first name_entry#.jpeg
Example: smith_jane_entry1.jpeg

Instructions to Modify Your Camera’s Image Size:

Under the “menu” button on your digital camera – select “image size”.
Under “image size” select the image size setting that has the highest number beside it (i.e. select ‘3076 X 3076’, not ‘480 X 640’). For this contest, we want photos to be taken in the highest resolution or largest image size.
Typically the highest resolution sizes are called “SHQ” – meaning “super high quality”. There will be other settings such as “HQ” – meaning High Quality – but if there is a size with higher resolution than “HQ” – that is our preference.
For some cameras these image size settings are sometimes called “S”, “M” or “L” (meaning: small, medium, or large). For this contest we want the “large” image size.
One way to tell you are on the largest image size is to see how many pictures you might have left to take with your camera, because the higher the resolution of the photo the less space you should have on your memory card.

Submit your entry form and photos for the 2017 Calendar Photo Contest to photos@enbridge.com. Please send one single email with your entry form and up to three photographs. Please submit only one entry form per photographer.
