Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity
On Feb. 25, 2026, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to construct and operate the Appalachia to Market III Project. This approval authorizes Texas Eastern, subject to certain conditions, to commence construction of the facilities in March 2027 and to place the project in service in August 2027.

Issuance of Environmental Assessment
On November 14, 2025, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Appalachia to Market III Project.
Overall, FERC staff concluded that approval of the Project would not significantly affect the environment, and with recommended mitigation measures, is the preferred alternative to meet the Project objectives.

Notice of Application
On May 15, 2025, Texas Eastern filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the proposed Appalachia to Market III Project and was subsequently assigned FERC docket number CP25-491-000
Notice of the Application was mailed to affected landowners and local, state, and federal governments and agencies involved in the Project. A copy of the publicly available portions of the Application and supporting documents are on file at:
