Regulatory information
The Mainline Optimization Program will require regulatory approvals from federal, state and provincial agencies in Canada and the U.S.
In Canada, the Mainline is regulated federally by the Canada Energy Regulator.
In the U.S., the Mainline is regulated by agencies at the federal and state level.
- Mainline Optimization Phase 1 is currently in the regulatory review process.
- Mainline Optimization Phase 2 is in the development stage and has yet to begin the regulatory process.
