Flourishing, thriving and meandering, the Kalamazoo River continues to be a cherished natural resource enjoyed by kayakers, swimmers—and anglers.

Nearly two dozen anglers participated in the Mainstream Tackle and Outdoors Kayak Kalamazoo River Fishing Series event on Sept. 13. Part of a series of bass fishing tournaments on the Kalamazoo River near Galesburg, Michigan, this year the tournaments attracted 82 seasoned anglers and those new to fishing.
