Oct. 8, 2025
Flourishing, thriving and meandering, the Kalamazoo River continues to be a cherished natural resource enjoyed by kayakers, swimmers—and anglers.
Nearly two dozen anglers participated in the Mainstream Tackle and Outdoors Kayak Kalamazoo River Fishing Series event on Sept. 13. Part of a series of bass fishing tournaments on the Kalamazoo River near Galesburg, Michigan, this year the tournaments attracted 82 seasoned anglers and those new to fishing.

As a sponsor of the September tournament, Enbridge congratulates the winners who had the highest totals for three bass:
- First place: Kyle Filmore, 56.5”
- Second place: Myles Sayles, 55.5”
- Third place: Jake Loesch, 55”
This is the third year Enbridge has sponsored this event.
The Kalamazoo River, watershed and local wildlife habitat is a true natural treasure of southern Michigan. Take some time to experience it for yourself.
