The Stockbridge InvenTeam travelled to Palau, Micronesia for four straight years to search for the fighter planes of American airmen from the Second World War who'd gone missing in action.

In November and December 2018, a team of 12 students from the Stockbridge InvenTeam will be taking the plunge into uncharted territory, using an ROV and a baited underwater camera system to explore and document the marine ecosystem in American Samoa.

The Stockbridge InvenTeam's activities have included exploring the Great Lakes for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), searching for aircraft flown by the Tuskegee Airmen, among others.

In November and December 2018, students with the Stockbridge InvenTeam will attempt to take an ROV with live camera feed 300 feet deep to conduct a bottom fish study around Anu'u Island in the South Pacific.

While in American Samoa, the students will also attempt to collect video of 12-inch-long Palolo worms during annual spawning season.
