Women in operations: ‘The sky is really the limit’

Michelle is Enbridge’s Westcoast Transmission South operations manager in British Columbia—the region’s first female area manager in history, in fact. “Field operations positions have been held by men, traditionally, so bringing some diversity into these roles helps strengthen the teams. It brings in a different perspective,” she says. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree, but further training and education led her to a career in operations. “There are so many different ways that you can grow and take your career in this organization,” she says. “If you have the drive and determination, they will meet you halfway—and the sky is really the limit.”
