‘A great day on the water’

In September 2023, Enbridge sponsored the Kalamazoo Fall River Challenge fishing tournament on the Kalamazoo River in south-central Michigan. “If you want to catch northern pike or small-mouth bass, this is the river to fish,” says tournament organizer Matt Elliott. Teeming with fish and wildlife, and a go-to for regional recreation, the Kalamazoo has a very healthy aquatic heartbeat. “The people who are coming out and renting kayaks and stuff, they’re loving the quality of the river,” says Elliott. “They float down the river, they play, they swim, they have a good time.”
