Trained eyes in the field to protect cultural resources

“We’re monitoring daily construction activities,” says Jim Jones of Dirt Divers Cultural Resource Management. Five teams of Tribal monitors, under the direction of Dirt Divers, are helping identify and protect cultural resources, historic sites and artifacts during Enbridge’s Line 5 Wisconsin Segment Relocation Project construction. Their knowledge and expertise play an important role in preserving cultural heritage throughout the project. “I’m here to make sure those resources are identified and to protect what’s out here,” adds Jim. “We have a commitment together, working together to make sure that happens.”
