‘A special place in my heart’

The Iron County Food Pantry, in Montreal, WI, plays an important role in feeding more than 50 area families a week. “When they come here, they tell us, ‘Oh, this helps us so much,’” says food bank manager Pat. “This food bank place has a special place in my heart. If we weren’t here, where would some of these families go?” adds treasurer Mary. Enbridge recently donated 800 pounds of ground beef to the food bank, after purchasing two local 4-H steers at auction. “That goes a long way at our food pantry, and it comes at a time when we need it,” says Pat.
