Wells Academy: ‘Add value and serve humanity’

Wells Technology recently hosted a busload of visitors from northern Wisconsin and the Bad River Reservation to tour its manufacturing facility in Bemidji, MN. Andy, CEO of Wells Technology and an enrolled member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, says his company’s vision is to “add value and serve humanity.” Part of that vision includes building workforce capacity and life skills of Native Americans at its Wells Academy. Enbridge has provided annual scholarships for Wells Academy students, in addition to organizing tours. “I felt like I learned a lot. It got me thinking of changing my career path. I’m glad I came,” says Wenonah, a Bad River Tribal member. Adds Andy: “Enbridge has been a very good partner for us. It’s a wonderful relationship.”
