Fishing tourney shows the river is thriving

In September, the Line 5 Newsroom brought you a story on the Kalamazoo Fall River Challenge. Now, we are sharing a video that takes you on board with fishermen as they float the Kalamazoo River trying to catch smallmouth bass and northern pike.

Undergoing a transformation over the last several years, the Kalamazoo River and Talmage Creek area again support native wildlife and fish. Journey with Matt Elliott and other anglers for a close-up experience of the Kalamazoo River.

In Matt’s own words: “This river is simply beautiful, a real treasure for Michiganders, who need to come out here in person to either fish or float. It’s a natural resource people need to take advantage of.”
