Enbridge is a proud employer of Canadian Armed Forces reservists, offering flexibility and a rewarding career

Standing on guard. It’s the very heart of reserve service in the Canadian Armed Forces.

As part-time members of the CAF located across Canada, reservists balance civilian careers or education with military service—and in times of need, they can serve with the Canadian military on a full-time basis for a defined period of time.

The With Glowing Hearts program, operated by Canada’s federal government, recognizes those businesses that support the CAF with military leave policies that offer flexibility reservists need to continue serving.

Today, Enbridge was welcomed into With Glowing Hearts during an event in Calgary organized by our Veteran Talent Resource Network (VTRN).

“Veterans and reservists are integral to the Enbridge team, bringing valuable experience that can’t be taught,” says Enbridge President and CEO Greg Ebel. “We’re honored to receive the With Glowing Hearts recognition, and we proudly stand behind our military team members.”

To allow for a rewarding career both at Enbridge and in the Canadian Armed Forces, we provide a Military/Reservist Leave Policy for team members who undertake military training or go on operational deployments.

In April, our support of Veterans in the United States was similarly recognized by VETS Indexes, which tapped Enbridge as a 5-Star Employer for 2025—the highest designation possible.

VETS Indexes recognizes the “value created by the mission-critical mindset, unique skill sets and specialized training that U.S. military Veterans bring to the workplace.”

The 5-Star Employer designation is based on a variety of considerations, including:

  • Veteran employee development and retention
  • Veteran-inclusive policies and culture
  • Veteran recruitment and hiring
  • Guard/reserve support
  • Military spouse and family support
