Supporting Veterans
At Enbridge, we value Veteran experience and recognize the important skills and knowledge gained through military service. We’ve prioritized building communities for Veterans in the U.S. and Canada, including in our workforce.
Bringing a wide range of perspectives and experiences to the table helps us make better informed decisions. Our values of safety, integrity, respect, inclusion and high performance are closely aligned with the values of both the U.S. and the Canadian military—so whether Veterans are transitioning out of their military career, are active reserve or guard, working at Enbridge is a logical step. This also presents a significant benefit for our business: we recognize Veterans' leadership skills, loyalty and team-oriented approach to problem-solving instilled during their time in service.
Building your network as an Enbridge employee
Our Veteran Talent Resource Network (VTRN) employee resource group provides a network where active and former members of the armed forces and allies are advancing the business through recruiting and community outreach.
Offering Canadian reservists flexibility and a rewarding career
In May 2025, Enbridge was welcomed into the With Glowing Hearts program, operated by the Canadian government. With Glowing Hearts recognizes those businesses that support the Canadian Armed Forces with military leave policies that offer the flexibility reservists need to continue serving.
To allow for a rewarding career both at Enbridge and in the Canadian Armed Forces, we provide a Military/Reservist Leave Policy for team members who undertake military training or go on operational deployments.
U.S. and Canadian employees can take a military or reservist leave and receive top-up pay and continued benefits coverage for up to one year. A Canadian employee can take a leave for military training of up to 20 days per calendar year and receive top-up pay from Enbridge.
Creating opportunities for U.S. Veterans
In April 2025, our support of Veterans in the United States was recognized by VETS Indexes, which tapped Enbridge as a 5-Star Employer for 2025—the highest designation possible. VETS Indexes recognizes the “value created by the mission-critical mindset, unique skill sets and specialized training that U.S. military Veterans bring to the workplace.”
Enbridge was also honored with the Best for Vets Award in November 2024 by Military Times, acknowledging our efforts in creating an inclusive environment for Veterans, providing them with opportunities for career growth and leveraging their unique skills and experiences. This award ranked us as an employer at No. 2 in the energy industry and No. 2 in Texas. It’s a testament to our commitment to supporting Veterans in the workforce, our reputation as a Veteran-friendly employer and our dedication to promoting an equitable workplace.
