Enbridge employee-fueled campaigns raise US$4.3 million (C$5.9 million) for United Way chapters in 145 communities

The longest drives of Enbridge’s 2026 United Way campaign weren’t measured in yards.

They were measured in impact.

From grip-it-and-rip-it golf tournaments to community runs and Days of Caring events, Enbridge employees across North America came together to support local United Way organizations and the communities they serve.

While the efforts looked different from one location to the next, they all shared a common goal: helping individuals, families and communities facing some of life’s biggest challenges.

“The success of our United Way campaign comes down to our people and the many ways they choose to get involved,” says Reggie Hedgebeth, Enbridge’s Executive Vice President, External Affairs and Chief Legal Officer. “Across our locations, employees are giving their time, contributing generously and finding creative ways to support their communities.”

Turning generosity into action

Enbridge employees’ various 2026 fundraising initiatives raised a collective US$4.3 million (C$5.9 million) for 145 United Way chapters across the continent.

That total includes employee and retiree donations, special events, Enbridge’s corporate match, and volunteer grants through our Fueling Futures program.

In a nine-year span dating back to 2018, Enbridge’s employee-fueled United Way campaigns have raised about US$41.4 million (C$54.8 million) toward healthy communities, youth opportunity, financial security and community resiliency.

Everyone pulling on the same rope

Throughout the campaign, employees found unique ways to get involved. Some laced up their running shoes, some picked up a golf club, and others rolled up their sleeves at food banks, schools and community agencies.

Together, those efforts helped support programs and services that address food insecurity, create opportunities for youth and families, strengthen financial stability and help communities thrive.

Highlights of our regional 2026 United Way campaigns included:

  • Record-breaking golf tournaments in Toronto (~C$277,000) and Calgary (~C$250,000), alongside successful events in Houston, Pontiac, IL, Duluth, MN, Superior, WI and Chatham, ON.
  • Employees in Utah and North Carolina assembled more than 1,250 snack and hygiene kits for students and families in their communities.
  • Edmonton united employees through an inaugural 5K Walk/Run, Timbit Talks and the always-popular Dunk Your Leader fundraiser.
  • Ohio employees volunteered at local food banks, helping distribute food, sort donations and prepare more than 7,000 meals.
  • Calgary employees combined fundraising, volunteerism and a little heavy lifting through Days of Caring events, a signature United Way celebration and a third-place finish in the annual Plane Pull challenge.
  • Employees across 25 Ontario and Quebec locations supported local campaigns through community events, volunteer activities and fundraising efforts.

Making an impact where we live and work

Behind every fundraising milestone, volunteer shift and community event were employees committed to making a difference.

Their efforts helped provide meals, essential supplies, community support and opportunities for people across North America. Just as importantly, they strengthened the connections between colleagues, community partners and the organizations working every day to support those who need it most.

“What stands out each year is the way our employees step up for others,” says Mr. Hedgebeth. “Whether they’re volunteering, fundraising or bringing colleagues together, their efforts are helping people and families when they need it most.”
