For nature and people.

Biodiversity is the variety of life on earth, and it connects us to nature through food, water and air.

By safeguarding and respecting it, ecosystems essential to sustainable human development will thrive and benefit us all.

At Enbridge, we integrate biodiversity considerations into our operations and the communities where we work to balance the protection of land, plant and animal life. We do so through a lens of cultural priorities and social equity by working closely with local and Indigenous communities, our employees and other stakeholders to promote shared environmental values and priorities.

Stories: Biodiversity in action
Preserving a globally rare habitat in Wisconsin

In Wisconsin, an Enbridge Ecofootprint grant is helping Bayfield County and the Wisconsin DNR carry out the Northwestern Sands Barren project, restoring and connecting barrens in the region.

Doing good works for water and wildlife

With the help of an Enbridge Ecofootprint grant, a 120-acre plot of land is being restored—deepening wetlands, removing invasive plants, attracting migratory birds and pollinators, reducing erosion.
