Earns Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award from U.S. Department of Labor, ranks No. 2 in Best for Vets: Employers rankings
At Enbridge, we place a premium on Veteran experience.
And as an employer, we met the gold standard again in 2025.
In recent weeks, Enbridge was officially awarded the 2025 Gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award by the U.S. Department of Labor, and earned the No. 2 spot out of 245 companies in Military Times’ 2025 Best for Vets: Employers rankings.
“These awards highlight Enbridge’s unwavering commitment to Veterans in our workforce and communities,” says Micheal Sittler, co-chair of Enbridge’s Veteran Talent Resource Network (VTRN), an employee resource group dedicated to reinforcing the importance of Veterans to the company in both the U.S. and Canada.
“As a Veteran myself, I’m honored to be part of a company that not only values military service but actively invests in the success of those who served.”
Enbridge has prioritized building communities for Veterans, including in our workforce. We recognize the important skills and knowledge gained through military service, including the leadership skills, loyalty and team-oriented approach to problem-solving gained by Veterans during their service careers.
The Department of Labor’s HIRE Vets Act Medallion Award Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire and retain Veterans. Medal-winning employers are rated on:
- Veteran hiring, integration, assistance and retention assistance
- Availability of Veteran-specific resources
- Leadership programming for Veterans
- Compensation and tuition assistance program for Veterans.
Enbridge’s No. 2 overall spot in Military Times’ Best for Vets: Employers rankings included accolades as No. 1 overall in Texas and No. 1 overall among large enterprises.
Employers in these annual rankings by the Veteran-focused media group are evaluated for:
- Recruitment and onboarding practices
- Retention and career advancement programs
- Support for Veterans and military spouses.
