For nature and people.

Biodiversity refers to the variety of life on Earth, including plants, animals and ecosystems, and supports the functioning and resilience of natural systems.

At Enbridge, we recognize our operations interact with nature and that managing impacts on biodiversity is important to the long-term resilience of ecosystems and our business. We integrate biodiversity considerations into how we plan, build and operate our assets, assessing potential impacts early in project development and applying measures to avoid or reduce effects on sensitive species and habitats. Our approach includes collaboration with local and Indigenous communities, including traditional knowledge, to inform our understanding of biodiversity and land use.
