BC operations and projects

Running from Fort Nelson to Abbotsford, our BC Pipeline has been the backbone of the province's natural gas industry since 1957.

The project will provide up to 535 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of new transportation capacity on the T-North section of our BC Pipeline.

Located near Fort St. John, Aitken Creek is the largest and only underground natural gas storage facility in the province.

The project will provide about 300 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of additional natural gas transportation service on the T-South section of our BC Pipeline.

Woodfibre LNG will help reduce the world’s greenhouse gas emissions by expanding global access to natural gas, displacing coal in power generation.

Indigenous relations

As a company, we believe it’s important to foster meaningful reconciliation within communities where we live and work.

At Enbridge, we believe we can, and should, be a leader in our industry in Indigenous engagement, inclusion, and awareness.

We work with Indigenous groups to create educational training, employment opportunities and capacity building efforts.

We work with Indigenous groups and businesses so they can participate economically in our projects and operations.

Enbridge women in operations: ‘The sky is really the limit’

Michelle is our Westcoast Transmission South operations manager in British Columbia—the region’s first female area manager in history, in fact. “Bringing some diversity into these roles helps strengthen the teams. It brings in a different perspective,” she says.

Enbridge women in operations: Lindsay, Brenda and Shandel

Enbridge’s warehouse in the north-central B.C. city of Prince George is staffed entirely by women—the cohort of Lindsay, Brenda and Shandel, all of whom are young mothers. “We kind of feel like we’re sisters, like family. It’s a great working relationship between us all,” says Brenda.

Enbridge women in operations: Christine

Christine, from Prince George, is an Enbridge measurement technician on our BC Pipeline system, ensuring proper gas flow with calibration equipment at meter stations across the province. “If you’re looking to get out in the field, travel and explore, Enbridge might be the career for you,” she says.

Our core businesses

Enbridge's natural gas pipelines connect prolific supply to major North American population centers and LNG export facilities.

Our 38 renewable energy projects (operating or under construction) produce enough electricity to power more than 1.1 million homes.

Enbridge Gas is North America’s largest natural gas utility, following our September 2023 acquisition of three U.S. utilities.

We operate the world’s longest and most complex liquids transportation system, with about 17,809 miles (28,661 kilometers) of active pipe.
