Saginaw STEM, established by Dante Davis, is committed to expanding high-quality Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and opportunities to all students, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or zip code.
During this May 20, 2023 event entitled The Power of Wind and Renewable Energy, supported by a $10,000 Fueling Futures grant from Enbridge, students learned the principles of simple circuits, electricity and wind energy.
Saginaw STEM offers an array of cost-free programs for students designed to build interest in and knowledge of STEM, including all ages and experience levels, to develop a diverse STEM-literate workforce.
During this May 20, 2023 event entitled The Power of Wind and Renewable Energy, supported by a $10,000 Fueling Futures grant from Enbridge, students created different kinds of circuits, and designed, built and tested their own windmill or wind-powered car.

Participants in STEM Saturday events hosted by Saginaw STEM benefit from the necessary training groundwork to stimulate and adopt 21st-century skills of communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.
During this May 20, 2023 event entitled The Power of Wind and Renewable Energy, supported by a $10,000 Fueling Futures grant from Enbridge, 83% of students in attendance represented the Great Lakes Bay Region (GLBR).
